Dr. Sullivan is a family medicine physician, offering primary care to patients of all ages at St. Vincent Family Health Center. A native of Virginia, he earned his bachelor’s in exercise physiology and nutrition at Virginia Tech. He completed medical school at Albany Medical College in New York, and his residency at St. Mary’s Family Medicine in Grand Junction.
With a focus on attaining and maintaining health, Dr. Sullivan’s patient care philosophy is collaborative. “I really enjoy working with patients to make healthcare decisions that are right for them and providing the tools and resources to build sustainable health habits,” he says. He believes primary care has the ability to steer people towards living the kinds of lives they want, and to assist in tackling any hurdles as they arise.
Dr. Sullivan notes that access to healthcare can be difficult in rural areas like Lake County, and he’s committed to increasing patient care volume in the community.
When Dr. Sullivan isn’t caring for patients, he spends much of his time running and enjoys competing in mostly trail and ultra-distance events. He also likes to ski, ride bikes, and camp. His dog Willie regularly accompanies him on his outdoor pursuits.
