St. Vincent Health

Looking toward the future, St. Vincent General Hospital District has embraced the concept of a health campus where specialists, primary care, Lake County Public Health Agency, and other health-related offices reside in the old hospital building and synergistically complement services in the adjacent, new hospital facility.

Cyndi Souleret Joins SVFHC as Psychiatric NP

Cyndi Souleret, PMHNP-BC, has joined St. Vincent Family Health Center as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. In this role, she will be assisting patients with the treatment of mental health disorders through prescribing and managing medications. Though Cyndi is not a therapist, she can assist patients with substance abuse, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, mood disorders, personality disorders and more.

ER Roots

Cyndi attended college right out of high school without really knowing what she wanted to do, so she took a few years off to travel and get some real-life experience. One morning, she woke up and had the clarity that she was looking for – her calling was to be an ER Nurse.

Cyndi called the ER her second home for 20 years. It was during this time that she was able to see the gaps in the mental health care system, and she realized that she could be a part of the solution. Holding a master’s degree from CSU Pueblo, Cyndi has been a Nurse Practitioner in the mental health care field for about 10 years.

Being a Part of the Whole Patient Care: Mind and Body

“St. Vincent Health represents the heart and soul of rural healthcare and has given me the chance to bring my behavioral health experience to the community as they expand their services,” Cyndi stated.

She is looking forward to helping expand mental health accessibility and Telehealth services across the state of Colorado.

Cyndi’s philosophy is to be part of the whole patient care that includes both the mind and body.

“To maintain one’s health, we have to deliver coordinated care to address these areas, to ensure the patients well-being and having healthy outcomes.”

When she’s not at the clinic or working with clients, Cyndi will likely be out in the mountains. As an avid hiker, she has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and has also done 5-day treks through the Andes Mountains to Machu Picchu. These Rockies have nothing on her!
